    The latest at work
I'm sitting in a hotel room again in Shallotte, NC. Actually, it is the exact same room I got last week. I am installing a cable TV advertising insertion system. It is slow going in some regards, but the installation looks good. There are some problems beyond my control, since I have to wait on the cable company to do their part. Some things can only be done when we are able. Our abilities are often dependent upon other people.

One thing I enjoy is to see a system start from zero and come to fruition. It is a lot of detail work. Tedious manual work abounds on one of these installations. Some of the more technical details can be challenging, especially when using used servers in unknown condition, as we are.

One other thing that is interesting. Our Wilmington tech, John, is opening up to me more in conversation. He is hungry for truth, and I have been able to give him some as we go. He is a former Jehovah's Witness who is searching for what to believe and how. I have shared a lot of tidbits, as well as the Gospel. He knows many of the references. Unfortunately, he also knows how the J.W.'s teach it and why the orthodox Christian beliefs are "in error".

I downloaded a lot of information for him to read, since he wants to know more. I also offered to answer any questions he may have. He is open to truth and learning about Jesus. I will be (and have been) praying for John.
